Apple seeds watchOS 27 Release Candidate ahead of public release

Apple has released the watchOS 27 Release Candidate to developers and public beta testers ahead of the software’s public rollout.

The RC represents Apple’s final planned build of watchOS 27 before general availability. Provided no major bugs emerge during this last round of testing, the same software should soon be offered to compatible Apple Watch models worldwide.

Apple began testing watchOS 27 following its introduction at WWDC in June.

The Apple Post has covered watchOS 27 and its upcoming Apple Watch features throughout the software’s development.

The Release Candidate can be installed through the Watch app on an iPhone by eligible testers. An Apple Watch needs sufficient battery charge and must remain on its charger while the update installs.

Apple used the same stage of its release cycle last September, when watchOS 26 reached Release Candidate status immediately after the company’s iPhone event before becoming available publicly soon afterwards.

Unless Apple needs to issue a replacement RC, today’s build should provide testers with the software that will shortly reach all supported Apple Watch users.
