The Dinner Ladies scaled from 20 meals a week to more than 90,000 using Apple devices

Australian meal delivery company The Dinner Ladies says Apple technology helped it scale from producing just 20 meals a week to more than 90,000.
The business was founded in Sydney by Sophie Gilliatt and Katherine Westwood, who started by preparing nutritious frozen meals for busy families. As demand grew, the company needed a more reliable way to coordinate recipes, staffing, deliveries and quality control.
According to Apple, the founders use Mac to plan menus and manage recipes, while iPad is used for employee rosters and quality-control tasks. iPhone is used to track deliveries and help optimise routes.
The company also uses Apple devices with third-party systems to monitor food-storage temperatures remotely, making it easier to keep operations consistent as volumes increase.
During the pandemic, the founders were also able to manage more of the day-to-day business remotely using Apple devices as orders rose.
The Dinner Ladies says the ability to move information easily between Mac, iPhone and iPad has helped the team maintain consistency while expanding from a small kitchen operation into a large-scale meal delivery business.
