ChatGPT, Claude and Grok hit by outages affecting users

Several of the world’s biggest AI services have been hit by problems on Thursday, with users reporting difficulties accessing ChatGPT, Claude and Grok.
The disruption appears to be affecting multiple AI platforms at around the same time, although there is currently no indication that the separate outages are connected. Reports have pointed to problems using ChatGPT across web, mobile and desktop, while Claude and Grok have also experienced service issues.
OpenAI’s status information shows that ChatGPT has experienced disruption today, including an incident involving high error rates across ChatGPT Work Mode. OpenAI said the affected services subsequently recovered. The company has also dealt with several other incidents over recent days, including elevated errors and latency affecting parts of ChatGPT.
Anthropic, meanwhile, has acknowledged elevated errors affecting Claude. Its status page shows issues involving multiple Claude models and parts of the Claude service, with engineers working to resolve the problems.
Grok has also been affected by a service issue.
