Slideshows created in the iPhone Photos app do not have to disappear when the presentation ends. In iOS 27, supported slideshows can be saved as videos.
Saving a slideshow as a video makes it easier to keep a finished version, send it to somebody else or share it through apps and services that accept regular video files.
You can first customize the slideshow using the controls available in Photos, then export the finished presentation once you are happy with how it looks.
How to save a slideshow as a video on iPhone in iOS 27
- Open the Photos app.
- Create or open the slideshow you want to save.
- Customize the slideshow and preview it.
- Open the slideshow’s options or sharing controls.
- Choose the option to Save as Video.
- Wait while your iPhone creates the video.
- Open your Photos library to find the saved version.
The exported slideshow behaves like a normal video in your Photos library, allowing you to share, favorite or manage it alongside your other videos.
