Apple releases macOS Tahoe 26.6 with security updates and Spotlight improvements

Apple has released macOS Tahoe 26.6, the sixth major update to macOS Tahoe, bringing security improvements and under-the-hood enhancements ahead of the launch of macOS 27 later this year.

According to Apple’s release notes, macOS Tahoe 26.6 includes security fixes and optimizes the Spotlight index in preparation for macOS 27. macOS Tahoe 26.6 is available now as a free update for all compatible Macs. Users can install the latest software by opening System Settings, selecting General, and then Software Update.
