Ceramic Apple Watch returns with Series 12 in pearl white and night blue

Apple has brought ceramic back to the Apple Watch lineup with Apple Watch Series 12, introducing two new ceramic finishes in pearl white and night blue.

The return marks the first time in years that Apple has offered a ceramic Apple Watch, reviving one of the most distinctive materials previously used in the company’s premium Edition models.

The ceramic versions sit alongside aluminum and titanium configurations, giving Series 12 a broader choice of case materials and finishes than recent generations.

The Apple Post reported before today’s event that Apple could bring ceramic back with Series 12, following reports that the company had tested new ceramic options.

Apple has paired the ceramic cases with matching Sport Bands that use ceramic pin-and-tuck closures. The pearl white model is matched with a sand band, while the night blue version is paired with navy blue.

Elsewhere in the lineup, aluminum Series 12 models are available in dark bronze, black, light gold and space gray. Titanium finishes include radiant gold and natural titanium.

As announced by Apple, Apple Watch Series 12 is available to pre-order today, with in-store availability beginning Friday, September 18.
