macOS 26.7 beta leaks unreleased Apple products ahead of launch

Apple’s latest macOS Tahoe 26.7 Release Candidate appears to contain references to a wide range of unreleased hardware, offering another glimpse at the company’s upcoming roadmap.
The software includes codenames linked to future iPhones, Macs, AirPods, home devices, and even new Apple Intelligence features. While software references don’t guarantee a product will launch, Apple has previously left clues to unreleased hardware hidden inside beta versions of its operating systems.
As reported by MacRumors, among the biggest discoveries are multiple references to Apple’s long-rumoured smart home devices.
Code once again points to Apple’s Home Hub, including what appear to be two separate versions. Previous reports have suggested Apple is developing both a tabletop model and another designed to attach to a wall using a magnetic mounting system.
Additional references hint at an updated HomePod mini, a mysterious home accessory believed to feature multiple sensors, and a new version of homeOS, the operating system expected to power Apple’s next generation of smart home products.
The software also includes references that appear to point towards Apple’s rumoured tabletop robot, alongside several previously unseen colour options for an upcoming home accessory.
The release candidate also contains references to several unreleased audio products.
One codename appears to correspond to camera-equipped AirPods, with code mentioning an image stream from the left earbud. Bloomberg has previously reported that Apple is exploring AirPods capable of using cameras to better understand a user’s surroundings and enhance Apple Intelligence experiences.
References to what could become the next-generation AirPods Pro have also been discovered, alongside two unidentified Beats products.
Several codenames believed to correspond to Apple’s future iPhone lineup have also been spotted.
These include references thought to represent the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, the standard iPhone 18, the next-generation iPhone Air, and Apple’s first foldable iPhone, which multiple reports have suggested could launch under the iPhone Ultra branding.
The discoveries add further weight to previous software leaks that have pointed towards Apple’s staggered iPhone release strategy, with Pro models expected to arrive ahead of standard models.
Apple’s next Mac lineup also appears throughout the software.
The release candidate contains references believed to be linked to the entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M6 chip, new iMac models, and future high-end MacBook Pro models that Bloomberg has previously reported will feature OLED displays.
The code also points towards Apple’s next-generation iPad mini, which has been rumoured to receive both an OLED display and a faster A19 Pro chip.
Elsewhere, the software includes references to an unreleased Vision headset and what appears to be a new Apple TV remote.
Reports have previously suggested Apple has explored multiple future Vision products, including both a second-generation Vision Pro and a more affordable headset.
The software also suggests Apple is continuing work to bring Apple Intelligence to China.
New code references Writing Tools becoming available in the country, alongside additional safeguards designed to comply with local regulations. Apple has yet to officially announce when Apple Intelligence will launch in China, but recent reports have suggested progress is being made.
Many of the codenames discovered in macOS Tahoe 26.7 align with products already expected to launch over the coming months.
Apple is widely expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and its first foldable iPhone in September. Meanwhile, Bloomberg has reported that refreshed Macs, smart home products, and additional hardware could follow later in the year during a second autumn event.
