John Ternus says Apple is “about to change the world once again”

Apple’s future CEO John Ternus has teased major new products and AI-driven changes as he prepares to take over from Tim Cook later this year.
Speaking during an all-hands employee meeting at Apple Park today alongside Cook, Ternus said Apple is entering one of the most exciting periods in its history.
“I’m especially excited to be stepping into this role at this moment, because I am telling you we are about to change the world once again,” Ternus said.
According to Bloomberg, Ternus also told employees that Apple has an “incredible road map ahead” and said he was not exaggerating when he described it as “the most exciting time to be building products and services at Apple” during his entire career.
Ternus appeared to hint that artificial intelligence will play a major role in Apple’s future plans.
“AI is going to create almost unlimited potential,” he said. “We’re going to be able to keep unlocking possibilities that are going to create entirely new opportunities for our products and services, and I’m so excited about what that’s going to mean for our users.”
The comments come as Apple is widely expected to spend the next few years focusing heavily on AI, with reports pointing to major Siri upgrades, deeper Apple Intelligence integration, foldable devices, future Vision products, and new hardware categories.
Ternus will officially become Apple CEO on September 1, when Tim Cook steps down and becomes executive chairman.
