How long is the Siri AI waiting list in iOS 27?

Updated to iOS 27, joined the Siri AI waiting list and wondering how long you will have to wait? There is no single fixed waiting time, with access being enabled gradually as Apple manages demand for its new AI-powered Siri experience.

Apple describes Siri AI as “rolling out” in English rather than becoming available to every eligible user immediately. After requesting access, some users are already reporting waits of only a few minutes, while others have remained on the waiting list for considerably longer.

Apple has not published a guaranteed maximum waiting time. The company built support into iOS 27 for dynamic wait-time estimates, allowing the estimate shown to users to change depending on demand and available capacity. During the iOS 27 beta period, waits varied significantly and could extend much longer than the few minutes some users are experiencing following the public launch.

There is also no advantage to repeatedly leaving and rejoining the queue. Once the request has been submitted, Apple says the iPhone will notify you when access is ready.

Even after access is approved, Siri AI may not become completely ready instantly. Your iPhone can need additional time to download and prepare the Apple Intelligence resources required by the new assistant. Keeping the iPhone connected to Wi-Fi and power can help while those resources are being prepared.

Some users may also see an “Optimizing Search and Siri” message after installing iOS 27. This is part of the work the iPhone performs following a major software update and is separate from simply being accepted onto the Siri AI waiting list.
