Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reports that Apple is gearing up to extend the availability of Apple Vision Pro beyond the U.S. later this month. Kuo anticipates that by mid-June, Apple Vision Pro could reach international markets including the U.K., France, Germany, China, Japan, and Singapore.
In a recent X post (formerly Twitter), Kuo indicates that shipments of Apple Vision Pro to non-U.S. markets are slated to commence before the middle of this month, a timeline slightly delayed from previous forecasts preceding the 2024 WWDC. Despite this adjustment, the global shipment estimate for 2024 remains steady at 400,000 to 450,000 units.
Kuo’s insights align with an earlier report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who revealed last month that Apple has been conducting training sessions and has flown in hundreds of employees from its international stores to Cupertino, California.
Apple debuted Apple Vision Pro last year, featuring a single piece of three-dimensionally shaped laminated glass with an aluminum alloy frame that conforms to the user’s face. The device is equipped with advanced cameras and sensors, delivering an immersive mixed-reality experience. Moreover, speakers near the user’s ears provide Spatial Audio, resulting in lifelike three-dimensional environments.
