Huge data leak at Apple supplier exposes iPhone 18 Pro details, images, and more

One of Apple’s key manufacturing partners in India has fallen victim to a major cyberattack, resulting in confidential Apple documents being leaked on the dark web. The leaked files reportedly include information about the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, including supplier lists, component details, internal photographs, and videos of the devices.
According to Reuters, at least six leaked files contain details on hundreds of iPhone 18 Pro components, including chips used on the main logic board, along with battery and camera parts. The documents reportedly carry confidential Apple watermarks and internal codenames for the unreleased models. Reuters says Apple is “concerned” after supplier Tata Electronics was targeted in the cyberattack last week.
The report says some of the leaked images show a “slab-shaped, grey handset with a three-rear-camera setup and an Apple logo,” while other photographs appear to show prototype iPhone 18 Pro models undergoing drop testing at one of Tata Electronics’ facilities earlier this year.
Videos that appear to show the same prototype have also circulated on X, formerly Twitter. The clips show what appears to be the iPhone 18 Pro undergoing drop tests, with the device closely resembling the current iPhone 17 Pro. The videos were initially shared by an account impersonating the well-known leaker EvLeaks before the account was suspended, although copies continue to circulate online.
The leaked images also closely resemble concept renders previously shared by The Apple Post, which were based on supply chain reports and industry rumors. Those concepts envisioned Apple retaining a design similar to the current iPhone 17 Pro while introducing new finishes including Light Blue, Dark Cherry, Dark Gray, and Silver. Although the prototypes shown in the leak feature a plain grey exterior rather than one of those rumored colors, the overall shape, camera system, and proportions are broadly consistent with the concepts published earlier this year.

Apple unveiled the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max last September with one of the biggest redesigns to its flagship lineup in years. The devices introduced a new full-width rear camera design, an aluminum unibody construction, the A19 Pro chip, improved thermal performance through a vapor chamber cooling system, and upgraded cameras with three 48-megapixel rear sensors. Apple also expanded Apple Intelligence capabilities and introduced new professional photography and video features.
If the leaked prototypes accurately represent Apple’s final hardware, the iPhone 18 Pro appears set to retain much of the current industrial design while focusing on internal improvements rather than another major visual redesign. Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 lineup this September.
