iOS 18 to include new iPhone Home Screen that is ‘more customizable’
iOS 18 will feature a “more customizable” iPhone Home Screen, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman who suggests that with the next major update to iOS, which has previously been touted as “one of the biggest iOS updates — if not the biggest” update in iPhone history, users will be able to personalize their device in new ways.
Speaking in his weekly Power On newsletter, Gurman says iOS 18 will make the Home Screen “more customizable,” although no further details were shared.
Rumors suggest that iOS 18 will include generative AI features across a wide range of the default Apple apps, with it said that Apple will make a first-of-its-kind partnership with Google to bring Gemini—the company’s generative AI model—to iPhone to enable new AI features, including offline capabilities for Siri and Spotlight.
According to a leaker, all devices currently running iOS 17 will be compatible with iOS 18, including the iPhone SE (2nd generation), iPhone SE (3rd generation), iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and above.
