Reliable source says iOS 18 will be compatible with iPhone XR and above
iOS 18—Apple’s next major software update for iPhone—will be compatible with the iPhone XR and above, according to a reliable source with a proven track record.
As reported by MacRumors, a post on X (formally known as Twitter) from a private account who has previously provided accurate information, has claimed that all devices currently running iOS 17 will be compatible with iOS 18, including the iPhone SE (2nd generation), iPhone SE (3rd generation), iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and above.
Rumors suggest that iOS 18 will include generative AI features across a wide range of the default Apple apps, including Messages, Apple Music, Pages, Keynote, and Siri.
Additionally, it is said that Apple is gearing up for design changes in iOS 18. A report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman last week said that although the redesign will not be as drastic as the transition from iOS 6 to iOS 7, it will still bring a new esthetic to at least some parts of the operating system.
