Apple rumored to launch new iPad mini this year

Apple could launch a new iPad mini later this year, according to reputable leaker ShrimpApplePro, who hints that a seventh-generation iPad mini could be released around the same time as the iPhone 15 and Apple Watch Series 9 in September.
Rumors about an updated iPad mini have been sparse, although after redesigning the model in late 2021, it seems Apple is now readying a new model, which will likely be available in time for the holidays.
Respected industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggested late last year that a new iPad mini could launch in 2023, saying the upgrade will be minor over the current-generation model, reporting that the next-generation will likely only feature a spec improvement through an upgraded chip.
At the time, Kuo said he expected mass shipments for the new device to start by the end of 2023 or in the first half of 2024, although no further details were shared on what to expect from the next iPad mini, which last received a major overhaul including a larger 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display, an all-screen design, A15 Bionic chip, Centre Stage, 5G, and more.
