Apple to launch next iPad mini in late 2023 or early 2024, suggests Kuo
Respected industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has suggested that Apple’s next iPad mini could come in late 2023 or early 2024, noting that the upgrade will be minor over the current-generation model, reporting that the next-generation will likely only feature a spec improvement through an upgraded chip.
According to Kuo, mass shipments for the new device are expected to start by the end of 2023 or in the first half of 2024, although no further details were shared on what to expect from the next iPad mini, which last year received a major overhaul including a larger 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display, an all-screen design, A15 Bionic chip, Centre Stage, 5G, and more.
Touching on future iPad upgrades, Kuo says it is unlikely Apple will replace the iPad mini with a foldable iPad in 2025, despite previous rumors in the community, saying that the foldable device would have a higher price point than the current iPad mini, meaning that it is unlikely the ‘mini’ would be scrapped in favour of a higher-priced alternative.
