5G iPhone SE — What we know about Apple’s rumored new 2022 iPhone SE

Apple is expected to announce an updated iPhone SE in the coming weeks, featuring 5G support, updated internals from the iPhone 13 including the A15 Bionic chip, and more.
The device is expected to feature the same iPhone 8-style design as the existing model, keeping the 4.7-inch LCD display, Touch ID Home button and chunky top and bottom bezels found on the current-generation model introduced in 2020.
Analysts expect the 2022 5G iPhone SE to feature internals from the iPhone 13, likely offering the same 64GB and 128GB storage options as the current model.
Rumors haven’t speculated what (if any) camera updates the new 5G iPhone SE may bring, though the new device will likely improve on the single lens spec of the 2020 device.

As the 2022 5G iPhone SE isn’t expected to feature any visual design changes, Apple may decide to introduce new color finishes to differentiate the new models from the current device, which are available in Black, White and (PRODUCT)RED.
The current-generation iPhone SE is priced from $399. Apple will likely keep the same price point for this year’s new device given that the whole purpose of the device is to remain low-cost however, we could see Apple change its strategy and lower the price of the new model to attract new customers in developing countries such as India, where the iPhone represents a small portion of the countries’ marketshare.
