Apple raises MacBook Neo price by $100

Apple has increased the starting price of the MacBook Neo by $100, with the company’s newest entry-level notebook now starting at $699 instead of $599.
The MacBook Neo was introduced as Apple’s most affordable Mac, making the Mac lineup more accessible to students, first-time Mac buyers, and those upgrading from older Intel models. Following the latest pricing changes, that lower entry point has now increased.
The $100 increase represents a rise of almost 17%, making it one of the largest percentage price increases across Apple’s Mac lineup.
The MacBook Neo isn’t the only Mac to become more expensive. Apple has also increased the price of the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac Studio, with some high-end configurations rising by several hundred dollars.
The increase comes after Apple CEO Tim Cook acknowledged that the company can no longer absorb soaring memory and storage costs, warning that price increases had become “unavoidable.”
