Apple celebrates in-store launch of iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and redesigned iPad mini

Apple has officially launched the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, redesigned iPad mini, and updated ninth-generation iPad to customers worldwide, with in-store pickups and home deliveries now underway to those who pre-ordered the new devices last week.

To celebrate the in-store launch, Apple has shared several images from Apple Sanlitun in Beijing, China, showing some of the first customers in the world to get their hands on the new devices.

In a nutshell, the iPhone 13 keeps the same overall design as the iPhone 12 it replaces, this time available in five new colors including Pink, Blue, Midnight, Starlight, and (PRODUCT)RED with a diagonal camera layout and a 20% smaller TrueDepth camera system.

Similar to the iPhone 13, the iPhone 13 Pro also features the same overall design as the previous-generation iPhone 12 Pro, with Apple introducing a new “Sierra Blue” color option. The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max boast advanced pro camera system upgrades, the new A15 Bionic chip, a 20 percent smaller TrueDepth camera system, Cinematic mode on iPhone, and more.

iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max introduce Super Retina XDR displays with ProMotion, supporting an adaptive refresh rate from 10Hz to 120Hz. Apple touts that the new iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max feature more 5G bands, allowing them to work in more places on 5G for greater coverage and performance.

The all-new iPad mini delivers up to 80 percent faster performance than the previous generation. It boasts a larger 8.3-inch Liquid Retina True Tone display with narrow borders, all while keeping the same compact footprint as previous iterations. The new device is available in four new finishes featuring a larger 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display, an all-screen design, A15 Bionic chip, Centre Stage, 5G, and more.

Apple kicked off pre-orders for the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max last week. Many found the ordering process tedious, with customers reporting issues paying with Apple Pay, Apple Card, and upgrading through the iPhone Upgrade Program.
