Apple announces ‘By innovation only’ event on September 10, expected to be iPhone 11 launch
It’s official: Apple has confirmed it will be hosting a ‘By innovation only’ event at Apple Park on Tuesday, September 10th.
The event, which will take place at 10 am PT/1 pm ET, is expected to see Apple unveil the iPhone 11, alongside sharing an official release date for iOS 13, and more.
Apple is expected to unveil three new iPhone models – all of which are rumored to retain the same front-facing design as the current-generation handsets, with the rear of the iPhone XS successor believed to feature a triple-lens camera system in a square housing, and the rear of the updated iPhone XR expected to gain and additional camera lens, matching the iPhone X/XS by offering a dual-lens camera system.
Here’s everything we expect from Apple’s all-new iPhone 11 and the rumored iPhone 11R.
During the event, Apple will likely announce the release date for iOS 13, iPadOS 13, watchOS 6 and tvOS 13, and possibly even macOS Catalina, although Apple is rumored to host a separate Mac-focused event in October, and the release date for macOS Catalina could be held until then.
Additionally, reports suggest the event will see Apple announce an updated Apple Watch, which could simply be an update to the current-generation Apple Watch Series 4 opposed to a full Series 5 upgrade, seeing the introduction of new models in titanium and ceramic cases.
