Alleged CAD renders offer glimpse at square camera bump destined for all 2019 iPhone models
CAD renders claim to offer yet another glimpse at the square camera bump destined for Apple’s next-generation iPhone XR, and all-new iPhone 11, dubbed the iPhone XI.
Posted to Slashleaks, the renders allegedly show Apple’s updated iPhone XR (green) which will reportedly feature two rear cameras much like the current iPhone XS, and the flagship iPhone 11 (blue) with three cameras – all housed within a square camera bump that protrudes out from the main body of the device.
Rumors have been suggesting Apple will introduce a square camera housing design across its 2019 iPhone line since January.
The all-new rear camera system destined for the iPhone 11 will reportedly offer users a larger field of view, a wider zoom range, improved low light performance, and the ability to capture more pixels per-image.
It isn’t clear why Apple is seemingly adopting a square camera design, called “ugly” and “obtrusive” by some, on the new 2019 iPhone XR – especially considering the current iPhone XS line has a more streamlined vertical camera that works just fine, though presumably Apple is looking to add some continuity between the three new devices.
Here’s everything we know about the iPhone 11.
