Apple Vision Pro in-store sales down to ‘just a handful in a whole week’ in some locations
In-store sales of Apple Vision Pro have dropped “from a couple of units a day to just a handful in a whole week,” according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who suggests that demand for demos of the device have dropped sharply since the device’s introduction, and that Apple Store locations are seeing a decline in interest for the new Apple wearable.
Writing in his latest Power On newsletter, Gurman says “Demand for demos is way down. People who do book appointments often don’t show up, and sales — at least at some locations — have gone from a couple of units a day to just a handful in a whole week.”
Apple introduced Apple Vision Pro last year, made from a single piece of three-dimensionally shaped laminated glass with an aluminum alloy frame that contours to the user’s face, the device boasts an array of advanced cameras and sensors. These components collaborate to deliver an immersive mixed-reality experience, enhanced by speakers strategically positioned near the user’s ears to provide Spatial Audio, resulting in lifelike three-dimensional environments.
Currently, Apple Vision Pro is only available in the US. However, reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently claimed that Apple could launch its mixed-reality Apple Vision Pro headset on an international scale prior to WWDC, saying at the time that Apple was adapting algorithms to comply with various countries’ regulations before releasing the device outside of the US.
