Which iPhone 18 Pro color should you buy?

Choosing an iPhone 18 Pro may be relatively straightforward this year until you reach the color picker. Apple is offering four finishes for iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max: black, silver, glacier and burgundy, with the latter two likely to attract buyers who want something that looks distinctly different from previous generations.

Burgundy is the obvious statement choice. It is the only completely new color in the lineup and is the finish Apple is using heavily to showcase the new Pro models. After months of rumors surrounding a dark red or “Dark Cherry” iPhone, the final version gives buyers a deeper, warmer option without looking as bright as PRODUCT(RED) iPhones from the past.

If you want your iPhone 18 Pro to immediately look like the 2026 model, burgundy is probably the one to choose. The iPhone 18 Pro lineup has changed significantly internally, but color remains one of the easiest ways to make a new phone visually stand out.

Glacier could be the sleeper choice

Glacier is the more understated alternative. It brings some personality without being as bold as burgundy, making it a good middle ground for anyone who usually gravitates toward silver but wants something fresher. It should also work particularly well with clear cases and lighter accessories.

Black, meanwhile, is the safest option. Apple has returned to a traditional dark finish after leaving black out of the previous Pro generation.
