iPhone 18 Pro pre-orders open Saturday, September 12 at 5 a.m. PT

Apple has confirmed that iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max pre-orders will begin on Saturday, September 12, breaking from the Friday pre-order launches customers have become accustomed to in recent years.
Orders will open at 5 a.m. Pacific Time, with customers in more than 65 countries and regions able to place their orders through Apple. The phones will arrive in stores and begin reaching customers on Friday, September 18.
The Saturday date had been strongly rumored before today’s announcement. The Apple Post reported earlier today that multiple sources were pointing to September 12, although one leak had suggested orders might begin at midnight Pacific rather than Apple’s now-confirmed 5 a.m. opening.
The timing means customers in the UK will be able to begin ordering at 1 p.m. BST on Saturday.
Apple’s choice of Saturday avoids opening orders on Friday, September 11, which marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks in the United States. Apple made a similar adjustment in 2015 when iPhone 6s pre-orders opened on Saturday, September 12.
iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199 in the United States, while iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at $1,299. Both begin with 256GB of storage and can be configured with up to 2TB.
The phones are available in four finishes: burgundy, glacier, silver and black.
A second wave of availability will follow on Friday, September 25 in 20 additional countries and regions.
