iOS 27 adds star ratings to the Photos app, giving iPhone users another way to organize and sort images and videos beyond marking individual items as favorites.

- Open the Photos app on your iPhone.
- Open the photo or video you want to rate.
- Tap the star control at the top of the screen.
- Choose a rating between one and five stars.

To find rated images later, open your library, tap the filter control and choose Rating. You can then select the star rating or ratings you want Photos to display.
