‘Big Fish’ ad highlights Apple Watch Double Tap feature

Apple has shared a new ad showcasing the Double Tap feature on the Apple Watch Series 9, enabling users to perform hands-free gestures by tapping their index finger and thumb together twice. These gestures include answering a call, replying to a message, navigating through the Smart Stack, and more.
Titled “Big Fish,” the ad portrays a man grappling with a massive fish. Despite the challenge, he effortlessly utilizes the Double Tap feature to prompt the Apple Watch to capture a photo on a connected iPhone.
The Apple Watch hosts a dedicated Camera Remote app, which, when activated, triggers the camera on the iPhone. Users can focus by tapping the display, and images can be captured using either the timer button in the Apple Watch app or the Double Tap gesture.
While the Double Tap feature is exclusive to the Apple Watch Series 9, users with an Apple Watch Series 4 or later can emulate similar behavior using an Accessibility tool called AssistiveTouch, replicating the functionality of Double Tap.
