Lost or stolen Apple Vision Pro headsets cannot be tracked in Find My
Apple has published a new support document for Apple Vision Pro, noting that whilst the headset is protected by Activation Lock, users can’t use another Apple device or the web to find Vision Pro on a map, play a sound to help find it, turn on Lost Mode, or remotely erase it.
As noted by MacRumors, Apple has quietly acknowledged that the location of Apple Vision Pro cannot be accessed through the Find My app on any other Apple device or via iCloud.com. The only loss-prevention feature supported by the device is Activation Lock which ensures that unauthorized individuals cannot wipe or set up the headset unless they possess the owner’s Apple ID and password.
After spending $3,499 on Apple Vision Pro, users should consider a separate purchase of an AirTag.
