Apple hosting secretive Apple Vision Pro hands-on with YouTubers today
Apple has invited a small number of influential YouTubers and members of the media to meetings today for a secretive hands-on with Apple Vision Pro, the iPhone maker’s new mixed-reality headset, which will be available to pre-order beginning in the US this week on Friday, January 19.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, attendees will meet with Apple twice for hands-on experiences with Apple Vision Pro, with a follow-up meeting scheduled for January 23, ahead of deliveries and in-store availability of the headset beginning Friday, February 2.
In a post on X, formally known as Twitter, Gurman says that following the two meetings, Apple will then ship Apple Vision Pro units out to the selected YouTubers and members of the media to compile their reviews, which will be scheduled to be published in late January, prior to the in-store availability of the devices.
Apple unveiled its new $3,499 Apple Vision Pro headset last year, made from a singular piece of three-dimensionally formed laminated glass with an aluminum alloy frame that curves to wrap a user’s face. The device features an array of advanced cameras and sensors that work together to enable the mixed-reality experience, and speakers are positioned close to a users ears to deliver Spatial Audio to create life-like three-dimensional environments.
