Apple is rumored to be expanding its 48-megapixel camera system previously found exclusively on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max to all four iPhone 15 models, including the non-Pro iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, which could lead to strong consumer demand for the non-Pro iPhone 15 models.
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus currently use a 12-megapixel camera system, with the rumored 48-megapixel lens set to mark a signifiant increase in camera capability to the non-Pro models, which have lagged behind the higher priced iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in terms of consumer demand since launch last year.
The more affordable price point and similar features to the popular high-end iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to see Apple sell more non-Pro iPhone models than it has done with the current-generation iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.
In addition to the new camera system, Apple is expected to bring the Dynamic Island from the iPhone 14 Pro to all four iPhone 15 models this year, making the feature available for the first time not just on the ‘Pro’ series models, another move expected to lead to strong consumer demand for the regular level devices.

It has been rumored that the new devices will be available in a new color — cyan-green, and that the new models will have a “frosted glass” back design, matching the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
