Apple delaying Find My network support for AirPods, not launching with iOS 15 today
Apple has confirmed that Find My network support for AirPods Pro and AirPods Max won’t be launching with today’s public release of iOS 15, with the feature now slated to launch “later this fall.”
Spotted by developer Michael Burkhardt (via MacRumors), Apple’s iOS 15 webpage has been updated to list Find My network support for AirPods, a new feature that will allow users to get an approximate location of their missing AirPods Pro or AirPods Max in the Find My app, as a feature that will not be available with the initial release of iOS 15 on Monday.
“Use the Find My network to get an approximate location of your missing AirPods Pro or AirPods Max,” says Apple online. “This will help you get within Bluetooth range so you can play a sound and locate them.”
