AirPods 4 to launch in September or October, report claims

Apple is working on two new fourth-generation AirPods models, with the earbuds expected to launch in September or October this year.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman claimed on Sunday that Apple suppliers will begin production of the two new AirPods 4 models in May, with the new models slated to feature an updated design with better fit, improved sound quality, and an new charging case with a USB-C port. Additionally, one paid will also feature active noise cancellation and a speaker in the charging case that can play a sound for Find My location tracking, similar to the AirPods Pro.
Gurman reports that with the release of the new AirPods, referred to internally as B768E and B768M, Apple will discontinue the second-generation and third-generation AirPods models, which it sells for $129 and $179.
Apple is not expected to release new AirPods Pro until 2025.
