How to use Siri with AirPods Max
In addition to the Active Noise Cancellation and spatial audio technology built into Apple’s over-ear AirPods Max, the headphones also feature Siri, allowing users to make calls, send messages, search for playlists, and more with their voice.
To activate Siri, users simply need to say “Hey Siri” and the digital assistant will be ready to respond to the words that follow. But, voice is not the only way to activate Siri. As detailed here, pressing and holding the Digital Crown also enables Siri, similar to how on older iPhones the Home button would double-up as a Siri button when held down.
Siri can perform many tasks, some of which are especially useful for those times when you’re out and about and don’t want to pull your iPhone from your pocket. Here are some useful commands to ask Siri on AirPods Max.
- “Skip this track.”
- “Do I need an umbrella today?”
- “Play shuffled.”
- “Send a message to [recipient].”
- “How is the battery life of my AirPods?”
- “Play” or “Pause music.”
