Leaker shares renders of ‘actual’ AirTags design, announcement ‘likely’ tomorrow
Profound leaker Jon Prosser has shared renders depicting the “actual” design of Apple’s long-rumored AirTags item trackers, claiming the small devices will “likely” be announced tomorrow at the “Time Flies” event alongside a smaller, more affordable HomePod, Apple Watch Series 6, new iPad models, and more.
AirTags are expected to attach to valuables, such as wallets, backpacks, keys, and more, allowing users to track their belongings in the Find My app on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.
According to Prosser, the device is “just a tad larger than a bottle cap,” with Apple set to offer a “keychain that has a little leather pouch on it that you can just slip your AirTag into,” which will be sold separately.

It has previously been revealed that an “Items” tab will appear within the Find My app with iOS 14, which is rumored to notify users as soon as they become parted with their valuables, with the exception of when items have been left behind at a pre-defined “Safe Location”, such as at the user’s home or workplace.
The renders suggest AirTags will have a clean, minimalist front with a metal back bearing the Apple logo and other related information.
