Lady Gaga performs live at Apple Park official opening, with Tim Cook paying tribute to Steve Jobs
Oscar award winner Lady Gaga performed live on Friday evening at an exclusive employee-only Apple Park opening ceremony to mark the official opening of Apple’s new headquarters in Cupertino, California, and to remember late company co-founder Steve Jobs.
At the beginning of the month, drone fly-over footage revealed Apple had built a mysterious rainbow arch stage and outdoor lighting in the center of Apple Park’s spaceship-like loop, with a leaked internal announcement revealing the stage had been build for an event on May 17, with sources speculating Lady Gaga would be the headline act at the private event.
Taking to Twitter, Apple CEO Tim Cook paid tribute to Steve Jobs, sharing an image of crowds gathering in front of the colorful stage.
We came together today, in the home you imagined for us, and celebrated your spirit. We love you, Steve. pic.twitter.com/5PccqcBi1c
