Tim Cook receives honorary degree from University of Glasgow, reflecting on Steve Jobs’s focus of making ‘Great Products’
After making a surprise trip to Apple’s Buchanan Street retail store this afternoon, Tim Cook has continued his Scottish tour, making his way to Glasgow to receive an honorary degree from the University of Glasgow, a ceremony which was attended by staff and students at the historic Bute Hall. After receiving his honorary, Tim participated in a Q&A with attendees, reflecting on Steve Jobs’s focus of making ‘great products’ and condemning Donald Trump’s immigration order.
“Humbled & honoured to become part of the University of Glasgow community tonight. Thank you to the faculty & students of this great university!” – Tim Cook.

During the Q&A, Tim Cook reflected on his early days at Apple working with Steve Jobs, adding that Steve’s one focus at Apple was to create ‘great products’. After visiting France and Germany this week, it’s unclear if Tim shall now be heading back to Cupertino or if his European tour shall continue.
