Tim Cook pays tribute to Stephen Hawking
As the world pays tribute to Stephen Hawking who passed away peacefully in the early hours of Wednesday morning at his home in Cambridge, Apple CEO Tim Cook has commemorated the life of the renowned physicist and ambassador of science within a tweet shared this afternoon.
“We will always be inspired by his life and ideas,” he said on Twitter.
In 2016 the physicist launched Stephen Hawking’s Pocket Universe, an app meant according to Hawking at the time, to “highlight the excitement of new discoveries, and to offer an understanding of the new picture of reality that is emerging as a result.”
“The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge.” -Stephen Hawking. We will always be inspired by his life and ideas. RIP.
