Apple’s latest patent application shows the company could be interested in introducing an Apple Pencil holder for iPad
In a recent filing to the US Patent and Trademark Office picked up by Patently Apple, it appears Apple could be interested in introducing an Apple Pencil holder for iPad, with the application yet again referencing use of the stylus with iPhone.
The discovery comes shortly after Apple was said to be planning a ‘second-generation’ Apple Pencil to launch alongside three new iPad models during March 2017. While the report was vague and didn’t give very much detailed information on the new features supposedly found within the ‘Apple Pencil 2’, Bloomberg have suggested Apple is developing a much larger range of their stock apps to be compatible with the iPad Pro accessory.
Apple’s new Apple Pencil holder patents aren’t as high-tech as their other inventions, with the sketches ranging from a short elasticated loop attached to a Smart Keyboard, to a full-length spring clip attached to a Smart Cover.
