Apple announces Q4 2017 financial earnings with $52.6b revenue, 46.7m iPhones, 10.3m iPads & 5.4m Macs sold
Apple has today released their fourth quarter 2017 financial earnings, revealing $52.6b of revenue, 46.7 million iPhone (excluding iPhone X), 10.3 million iPad and 5.4m Mac million sales, exceeding market expectations and topping revenue from a year ago quarter by 12%.
Total iPhone sales were at 46.7 million which was just slightly higher than the projected 46.1 million. iPad sales were strong at 10.3 million while 5.4 million Macs were also sold during the quarter. – Apple is expecting their biggest holiday quarter ever this year.
Following the release of Apple’s fourth quarter 2017 financial earnings, Tim Cook said Apple is “happy to report a very strong finish to a great fiscal 2017”, with analysts forecasting revenue of between $84 billion and $87 billion next quarter.
“We’re happy to report a very strong finish to a great fiscal 2017, with record fourth quarter revenue, year-over-year growth for all our product categories, and our best quarter ever for Services,” Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook said. “With fantastic new products including iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, Apple Watch Series 3, and Apple TV 4K joining our product lineup, we’re looking forward to a great holiday season, and with the launch of iPhone X getting underway right now, we couldn’t be more excited as we begin to deliver our vision for the future with this stunning device.”
