New M6 iMac adds Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and 2.5Gb Ethernet

Apple’s new M6 iMac brings a major connectivity upgrade, adding Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and optional 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet.
Apple says the new wired Ethernet option can deliver up to 2.5x faster connectivity than the previous generation, helping with large file transfers, high-resolution streaming, gaming and business workloads.
Wireless connectivity has also been modernized with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, bringing the iMac in line with Apple’s latest Mac hardware.
Storage performance has improved too. Apple says SSD read and write speeds are up to twice as fast as the previous generation, reducing load times for apps, photo libraries and large video projects.
The connectivity changes arrive alongside M6 performance improvements and support for up to four Thunderbolt 4 ports. Apple announced the new M6 iMac today, with preorders opening October 28.
