LG’s new Apple Home indoor camera physically tilts away when you return home

LG’s new Indoor Cam for Apple Home Collection includes a privacy-focused physical movement that stops monitoring when the first member of the household returns home.
Apple says the camera tilts downward when monitoring stops, providing a visible indication that it is no longer watching the room.
According to Apple, the camera can tilt upward and downward automatically when users check in through the Home app, and can also be repositioned manually.
Apple is making privacy visible, not just software-based
The physical movement gives users a clear visual cue about whether the camera is actively positioned to monitor the room, complementing Apple Home’s end-to-end encryption.
The Indoor Cam also supports Apple’s new Home camera features, including person, pet, vehicle and package recognition, along with iCloud+ event history and Apple Intelligence video search on eligible plans.
The camera starts at $199.95 in the U.S. in Essence White and will be sold in the U.S., Canada and the UK.
It is one of four LG cameras joining Apple Home Collection, alongside the Video Doorbell, Floodlight Cam and Outdoor Cam.
