Apple could hold a second October event just two weeks after ‘Welcome home’

Apple may be preparing a second product presentation before October is over, with new reporting pointing to another launch on or around Tuesday, October 27.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is planning an online video presentation alongside an in-person component for members of the press later this month.
If the timing holds, the presentation would come exactly two weeks after Apple’s already confirmed October 13 “Welcome home” event, giving the company two separate product showcases within the space of just 14 days.
Apple announced the October 13 event this week, with the presentation expected to focus heavily on the company’s smart home ambitions. The Apple Post has already rounded up what to expect from Apple’s “Welcome home” event, including the rumored HomePad, an updated HomePod mini and a new Apple TV 4K.
The reported October 27 launch would shift attention away from the home and toward the Mac and iPad.
Apple is expected to use the later presentation to introduce new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with OLED touchscreens, alongside a redesigned OLED iPad mini. An updated iMac and entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M6 chip are also reportedly planned.
That would make October an unusually packed month for Apple hardware. Rather than grouping its remaining fall products into a single presentation, the reported schedule would effectively give Apple separate showcases for its new home strategy and its next round of Macs and iPads.
Bloomberg says the late-October launch is expected to be geared toward creative professionals working in areas including video production, photo editing and music production. The format would echo Apple’s October 2024 Mac announcements, when select members of the press were also invited to spend time with the new hardware.
The timing also means Apple’s October 13 event may leave some of the company’s most anticipated 2026 hardware untouched. Anyone waiting for the next MacBook Pro or iPad mini could have another Apple presentation to follow only two weeks later.

Importantly, Bloomberg describes the planned timing as “on or around” that date, meaning the schedule could still shift.
