Apple HomeView reportedly won’t launch until mid-November

Apple’s long-awaited HomeView smart home hub is reportedly set to arrive around the middle of November, roughly a month after the device is expected to be unveiled at Apple’s October 13 “Welcome home” event.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the HomeView is currently scheduled to ship in mid-November. That would put its release after the new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini, which are reportedly due to reach customers and stores on October 30.
The timing means Apple could unveil its most significant new home product first but make customers wait several additional weeks before they can buy it.
HomeView release date could fall in mid-November
Apple’s October 13 gathering is expected to center on the company’s expanding smart home strategy. The Apple Post previously detailed the products expected from the “Welcome home” launch, including the display-equipped home hub, a new Apple TV 4K and the first major HomePod mini refresh.
HomeView is expected to act as a central interface for an Apple-powered home, combining a display with Siri, smart home controls and Apple services. Bloomberg says the device will be powered by an A18 chip and sold in countertop and wall-mounted versions.

The new timing gives Apple a staggered home-product rollout. The HomePod mini and Apple TV 4K would arrive October 30, followed by HomeView around the middle of the following month.
That gap may also give Apple additional time to prepare its new home software and Siri-focused experience before the new device reaches customers.
Apple’s “Welcome home” press experience takes place Tuesday, October 13 in New York City, where the company is expected to reveal the final HomeView hardware, pricing and availability details.
