iOS 27 public beta now available

Apple has officially released the first public beta of iOS 27, allowing iPhone users to try the next major iOS update ahead of its public release later this year. The update was first unveiled during WWDC26 in June, with the developer beta becoming available immediately following the keynote. After several weeks of developer testing, the software is now available to public beta testers.
Alongside iOS 27, Apple has also made the first public betas of iPadOS 27, macOS Golden Gate, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, HomePod software 27, AirPods firmware, and visionOS 27 available, giving users across Apple’s ecosystem the opportunity to test the latest features before they launch later this year.
iOS 27 introduces Apple’s next generation of Apple Intelligence, including the all-new Siri AI, alongside a range of new features, improvements, and refinements across the operating system. iPadOS 27 builds on those same technologies while introducing new productivity enhancements designed specifically for the iPad, while macOS Golden Gate, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, visionOS 27, and the rest of Apple’s latest software also bring new features and enhancements announced during WWDC26.
As with any beta software, Apple recommends installing the updates on a secondary device where possible, as bugs, app compatibility issues, and reduced battery life are to be expected while testing continues.
