Warren Buffett says Apple would not be the company it is today without Tim Cook

Warren Buffett has praised Tim Cook following the announcement that he will step down as Apple CEO later this year, saying Apple would not be the company it is today without him.
“Apple would not be the Apple of today without Tim Cook,” Buffett said.
Buffett went on to praise Cook’s ability to manage Apple globally, saying: “Covering the world and getting along with countries with all kinds of histories and doing right by the customer, people who worked for him, certainly the shareholders, which we were lucky enough to be one of… he’s one of a kind.”
Buffett has long been one of Cook’s biggest supporters. Berkshire Hathaway invested heavily in Apple under Cook’s leadership, with the company becoming one of Buffett’s most successful investments ever. Buffett previously said that “nobody but Tim could have run it the way he has.”
Cook is set to step down as Apple CEO on September 1, 2026, after nearly 15 years in the role. He will become executive chairman of Apple’s board, with John Ternus taking over as chief executive officer.
