WhatsApp has launched a new Apple Watch app, allowing users to stay on top of their chats without needing to take out their iPhone.
The new app supports many of the platform’s features, including call notifications, full message viewing, the ability to write and send messages, record and send voice notes, react with emojis, and view media and stickers. Users can also scroll through more of their chat history directly from their wrist.
As with WhatsApp’s iPhone app, end-to-end encryption remains enabled for all messages and calls.
WhatsApp for Apple Watch is available now for Apple Watch Series 4 and later, running watchOS 10 or newer. The company says this launch is “just the start,” with further updates planned based on user feedback.
