Apple closing store in Milton Keynes, UK in favor of new, larger space nearby

As The Apple Post reported last year, Apple’s aging retail store in Milton Keynes, UK is set for an expansion, with Apple confirming the plans this week by announcing the closure of its existing store at the Midsummer Place Shopping Center in favor of a new, larger location nearby.
In an update to its website, Apple has announced that its existing store in Milton Keynes will close on June 25, with a “brand new Apple Store coming soon” on Saturday, June 29.
The new store will still be located within the Midsummer Place Shopping Center, with the mall posting a picture of the upcoming store’s facade online, offering an early look at the location’s frontage.
Apple’s current store in Milton Keynes is one of
the few in the UK yet to be updated with a more modern design. The store currently operates in a narrow two-floor unit from where it has been based for several years.
The UK is Apple’s third-biggest retail market, home to about 40 stores.
