Apple opens first-ever store in Malaysia, crowds gather for grand opening

Apple has opened the doors to its very first store in Malaysia, located in Kuala Lumpurʼs new Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) central business district.
Opened by Deirdre OʼBrien, Appleʼs SVP of Retail on Saturday, the store boasts a three-dimensional layered roof, bringing daylight into the interior and offering a glow of light at night.
Inside the store, a sculptural quartz and glass staircase connects the three levels where customers can explore and shop. The Forum, home to Today at Apple sessions, is located on a floating deck that joins up with the nearby mall, while the upper level directly connects with the edge of an adjacent park, bringing daylight and greenery into the store through a continuous glass façade.
Like all Apple facilities, Apple The Exchange TRX runs on 100 percent renewable energy and is carbon neutral.
Apple The Exchange TRX also offers a dedicated Apple Pickup counter, making it easy for customers to place an order online and pick up products in-store. And for hands-on technical and hardware support, customers can make a reservation at the Genius Bar.
