Apple Intelligence, iPhone Mirroring to Mac, and more new WWDC24 features will not be available in the EU at launch, says Apple

Apple has shared a statement on Friday saying that several of its new iOS, iPadOS and macOS features showcased at WWDC24 will not be available in the EU at launch, citing regulatory concerns relating to compliance with the Digital Markets Act.
According to a statement shared with Bloomberg, Apple Intelligence, iPhone Mirroring to macOS Sequoia, and SharePlay Screen Sharing won’t launch in the EU this year, with the three major features missing the initial launch of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia this fall.
Apple Intelligence is a suite of advanced AI-powered features integrated into Apple’s ecosystem to enhance user experience. Leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence, Apple Intelligence aims to provide smarter and more intuitive functionalities across Apple devices. This includes features like on-device Siri processing, personalized suggestions in apps, and improved capabilities in the Photos app for organizing and searching images.
