watchOS 11 adding Activity ring breaks, new Vitals app, Translate app, Smart Stack updates, more

Apple has unveiled watchOS 11, improving the health and fitness features of the Apple Watch with the introduction of the Vitals app. This application provides users with insights into their health metrics, including sleep data analysis, allowing for better-informed decisions regarding their well-being. Notably, pregnant users will received additional support through features reflecting changes in their physical and mental health.
A highlight of watchOS 11 is the introduction of the Training Load feature, offering users a deeper understanding of how their workout intensity affects their body over time. This tool will help users make informed decisions about their training regimen. Moreover, with watchOS 11, Activity rings are set to more flexible, with users able to customize their goals and even pause their rings without affecting their streaks.
Enhancements in personalization were evident with updates to the Smart Stack and Photos face. The Smart Stack now offers more intelligent suggestions based on various factors, making it easier for users to access essential information. Meanwhile, the Photos face will now use machine learning to recommend the best photo options.
Connectivity and convenience has been improved with features like Check In, available directly on the Apple Watch, and the arrival of the Translate app.
watchOS 11 will be available in the fall. watchOS 11 will be available for Apple Watch Series 6 or later paired with iPhone Xs or later, running iOS 18.
