Apple Vision Pro could launch internationally ‘before WWDC’
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has claimed that Apple plans to launch its mixed-reality Apple Vision Pro headset internationally before WWDC24, which typically takes place in June.
Pre-orders for Apple Vision Pro will begin in the US this Friday, with availability beginning Friday, February 2.
In a post on Medium, Kuo says Apple plans to share more development details about visionOS, the operating system which will power the headset, with global developers at WWDC24.
“The reasons why Apple hasn’t released Vision Pro in non-U.S. markets yet include 1) the limited initial supply of Vision Pro, 2) first ensuring that the sales process in the U.S. market goes smoothly, and 3) the time needed to modify the algorithms to comply with regulations in other countries.”
“The sooner the above issues are resolved, the sooner Vision Pro will be available in more countries,” says Kuo.
With the above in mind, Kuo believes it is likely Apple will release Apple Vision Pro outside of the US before WWDC24.
