UK has the largest developer community in Europe, says Apple

Apple has revealed that the United Kingdom has the largest developer community in Europe, supporting over half a million jobs — up nearly 70 percent since 2019.
Celebrating the opening of its new UK headquarters on Thursday, Apple shared that since Apple launched the App Store, developers in the UK have earned nearly £7.5 billion from their apps selling digital goods and services to customers around the world, supporting more than 550,000 jobs across the country.
As a whole, the iOS App Store has 101 million users in Europe, with the iPadOS App Store behind with 23 million users.
Apple’s last UK-specific developer community insight came in 2021, when the iPhone maker claimed that the App Store supported more than 330,000 jobs in the UK, with developers in the country generating over £3.6 billion in total earnings since the store first launched.
